Rob Jeffs

Profile

Rob graduated from Auckland Law School in 1986 and worked in both small and large Auckland law firms prior to having the opportunity to join I.P.D. Securities in 1991. The high professional standards and commitment to quality at I.P.D. gave Rob an excellent grounding in finance and experience preparing financial plans for high net-worth clients. Rob has studied Business Studies papers (endorsed Financial Planning) at Massey University.

In 1993, he joined Coopers and Lybrand Chartered Accountants as the National Operations Manager – Financial Planning. Rob was responsible for the quality control of plans written within Financial Planning nationwide at Coopers and Lybrand.

In 1995 Rob joined FMG and two years later was appointed National Manager Investment Advisory. Over almost thirteen years, Rob and his dedicated team took the business from making a significant loss to a significant profit. More importantly, he has specialised in advising retired farmers on appropriate investment strategies. Rob prides himself with being able to work alongside retiring/retired farmers and provide an investment strategy that helps protect and grow their life savings to ensure their funds are best placed to provide for their retirement funding needs. At a time when other advisors recommended failed finance companies and sub-prime investments, Rob knows his quality philosophy saved his clients from a huge amount of stress and potential financial loss.

Rob’s mother has a dairy farm. He has an interest in farming and enjoys meeting and dealing with farming families all over the South Island, but clients have also lived in the North Island, London and India. Rob gains his greatest satisfaction from assisting clients in achieving their long term financial goals.
